Baptism is a public confession of something we have already done privately. Before we are ready to be baptized, we must accept Christ as our Savior. Baptism does not save us, but it is an important step of obedience. It tells the world that we are serious in our commitment to Jesus.
The Baptism Ministry coordinates the baptism process by assisting baptism candidates with preparing for baptism, preparing the pool for baptism, cleaning baptismal prep rooms after baptism, safeguarding baptism candidates’ personal belongings during baptism and ensuring that all baptismal garments/towels are laundered after baptism.
