Chestnut Grove
Baptist Church
Leading individuals to surrender to Jesus and grow in a committed relationship with Him
OUR CHURCH
We are based, rooted, and grounded in Christ Jesus, our newly renovated church has stood for over 143 years as a focal point within the Athens community guiding men, women, boys, and girls into a loving relationship with Jesus.
Faith stands at the center of our church as the key ingredient in accepting, believing, and receiving God’s promises for over one hundred years. “For with God nothing shall be impossible,” Luke 1:37.
Our church family is lead by Pastor Wilson Lattimore, Jr. We believe that Christ is the head, the Pastor is our leader, and as members we are the children of the family – working everyday to grow closer to God.
As members of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, we are SURRENDERED to God through Jesus, STRENGTHENED by the Holy Spirit through prayer, study, and fellowship, and empowered to SERVE through the gift of ministry.
